The holidays are a special time of year and it is important to visit where loved ones wait for us. When I lived in Orange County 1980's, I visited Fairview Developmental Center on a weekly basis for over ten years. Besides all the fun and laughter I could bring, I developed a deep altruistic sense for life, that there are many things in our brief moment of living I cannot understand. At that time I enjoyed creating electronic devices to aid the developmentally disabled. How wonderful to be able to express a simple yes or no... Christopher

"In life do something beautiful and do it well with your moment on earth"

Someone asked why I give the gift cards away, well.....it seems like the better choice between just standing on a pulpit training people to throw scripture quotes at everyone. The early Christian church attracted people by embracing beautiful acts of kindness, most people wanted to become part of this event. Some months I have extra that I share and believe if everyone did something little in our valley it could end up really big.

February 2016    Marley Millward - A Story of Hope Happening Right Now...

On January 6, after arriving home in Temecula from a trip to the mountains to play in the snow, 10 year old Marley (who had not been feeling well for a few days of her vacation) suddenly got much worse, and then stopped breathing. She had to be rushed to the emergency room, where the doctors and nurses had to resuscitate her. She was revived, but, went into a coma. She was diagnosed as Type 1 Diabetic, and had a severe case of Diabetic Ketoacidosis. She also developed swelling in her brainstem.

She was transferred to Loma Linda Children’s Hospital, and has been in a coma ever since. The doctors have seen some progress, but, Marley is still fighting for her life. There is currently no telling when Marley will fully awaken, or what challenges she will face as she works on healing from this traumatic illness.

Marley's family, and all of their friends have rallied to show support, and the prayers have been pouring in. With everyone's prayers, many have asked if there are other ways to help, specifically with financial contributions so the fundraiser site was created.

If everyone gave $10 that would be special as Heaven does remember...

Temecula Valley Homeless Shelter

Project TOUCH works on many individual cases out of our office, by partnering with other services that exist. It's great to have friends in the food ministry business, or mental health services, or who run congregational living homes, or serve those suffering from domestic violence. We often work with related organizations to get others off the streets and out from sleeping in cars, one family at a time.

WESTERN EAGLE FOUNDATION is a wonderful, low-cost food distribution center in our community. You pay $25 for a large box of food. The food is pre-selected, and dependant upon donations from local food suppliers, so the contents of the box changes regularly. This is a WONDERFUL deal for those in our community who are in need of help with their groceries. This service operates on the honor system, as they DO NOT require you to prove your income, and is completely anonymous. Anyone can go and buy food at this low price, but they ask that only those in need use this service so that there is enough for every family who  needs it.

Temecula Community Pantry We feed warm meals every week day to homeless individuals and families.  We stress that we are serving families too, because with today’s economy we are seeing more and more families at our front door.  Some of these families are on the brink of becoming homeless themselves and must choose between buying groceries or paying their mortgage.  Because many know that keeping a family together and sheltered is important, they come to us for assistance with their other needs.

St. Martha's Second Hand Treasures, sponsored by the St. Martha Catholic Parish, raises most of the money for the food bank. Individuals or organizations interested in donating non-perishable food items to the food pantry contact:

Donations of food can be dropped off at the back of the building.

Food Assistance Registration is held every Wednesday and Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

This one is ridiculous, it would be easier give up your first born than meet their registration requirements, not for stressed people.
