Volume Control Schematics

schematic4i.htm
This would work excellent  if I revised and created a PDF pc board layout for it.
The technique is hand capacitance using the hoop style antenna, perfect for
all those pitch only theremins out there. It could be a stand alone module.

volume4&1.htm  This is a interesting optical/hand capacitance combination

After developing the 4 & 1 it became clear that there was a better approach to volume.
Some form of LED/Solar Cell combination did keep coming to mind.

Early November of '03 after a long night of project building, I heard this whisper . . .

"True Beauty is Hidden in Simplicity"

I was learning that to capture a theremin voice that's musically pleasing is extremely subtle. Even more difficult was how to get a really deep low pitch! I had not heard anyone do it.

Below is my first Theremin constructed using two Radio Shack AM Radio Kits

It was unstable and sounded like a mouse "lol"

Radio Shack - Once the electronics mentor of the boomer generation

Here is a webpage that has the instructions and some pictures of the old time
P-Box
breadboard kits from Radio Shack. If you haven't seen this page,
take a look, some of the old designs are pretty neat.
