 		RS Theremin - The Illusion
100% Radio Shack

This Ultimate 2b  was my original "true heterodyne theremin"
 as Lev Sergeyevich Termen discovered in his laboratory.

1. Use my favorite passive volume control using a simple CdS Photo-Cell found in a 
    bathroom nightlight. This works better than a hoop antenna, simple and effective.

2. Use a dual-voice volume control using two modulated LED's  beams projected onto
    a handheld solar cell  Volume Control . Sound samples at bottom of current page.

    Real Analog Angelic .mp3 (130k) is simple acoustics, Lev would not use a synth!

 This demonstrates two voice LED pitch manipulation  Optical Volume Control 

 The fluty sound is the pure sine wave while the square wave timbre mix creates the whinny sound. 
With vibrato and using no volume control
  With a little practice I might get rid of the flat notes!
