Hello Theremin Builders,
Something
wonderful happened early November '03. After a long night of project
building, I heard a
"whisper". In that Moment of Inspiration where Visions are born, the
new
Ultimate was revealed.
This approach adds an exciting
dimension;
you can play multiple theremin voices.

In my vision the theremin was revealed as art. There
were no antennas, dangling wires or cords on the floor, just stand alone simplicity revealing beauty. The pitch
rumbled low, yet sang with the angels. Arm
and hand movements control the range of volume, octave change and
pitch. It is interesting to me that a beautiful pitch is easier to play. It is as if
the theremin finds joy in expressing herself. This theremin is reality and affordable for those
who wish to share in the dreams of

Overtone multiple voice pitch blending
The New Generation of Thereminist will gravitate more readily toward this
Ultermen concept as they hear the wonderful music created by new theremin
artists.
The pitch & volume hand can use
similar arm movements and distance as Lev's classic theremin.
Sliding to the lower octaves is accomplished by simply moving the volume
hand slightly left or to the right on the Ultermen 5 board.
Every theremin design has its own unique characteristics. Building my RS design does not guarantee you can
duplicate my sound bytes, but know the possibility is there to
sound even better. You are limited by your own creative experimentation.
75% of the beauty in my theremin sound is in the audio output wave shape. The other
25% of beautiful nuances are generated in the design of the speaker
cabinet or other simple acoustic combinations.

LED/Solar Cell "photovoltaic" remote hand held volume
control technique is the future of theremin design. It gives the
artist a simple method of playing multiple
voices with tremendous control while creating complex pitch.
This is still an instrument played without
touching, she reaches for your hand with her gentle glow, beaming with
expression.
I created my webpage to show my
research to others, so they might build it, improve upon it and share new ideas.

The
Story of the Gift 02.14.06
The past year 2005 has been challenging for me. Creative ideas come and
then are discarded for not being pure. I shared this with a dear friend of mine
and questioned him on my seemingly long hours of wasting of time.
We visited over lunch; out of his pocket he pulled his old
timepiece. He set it on the table that we
have shared together for several years enjoying lunch and said,
"Place your watch next to mine and
observe."
His watch was crafted in an era gone by, early 1900's I think. He had bought it when it was
new and today I noticed it did not seem to be ticking.
This man, my friend, my mentor said,
"Time & Purity are interpreted differently in each generation."
With a far-away gaze he whispered something odd,
"Mounds of human heads are wandering into the distance.
I dwindle among them. Nobody sees me. But in books
much loved and in children's games I shall rise
from the dead to say the sun is shining."
Our lunch had ended and we said farewell. As usual we went our separate
way. I would only realize later that he had given me the answer, a
timepiece and the gift.
